Proposal for the Rules of Golf Latest Version

Currently, rankings in professional golf tour competitions are primarily determined by the best gross score. We are submitting a formal revision of the rules previously proposed by our company on February 19, 2026, at 2:07 AM. The details of the revised rules are as follows:

Ranking Determination Rules (The “Complete Method”)

Rankings shall be determined by comparing the following criteria in descending order:

  1. Total Strokes (18-hole Best Gross Score)
  2. Total Number of Putts on the Green
  3. Number of OB (Out of Bounds) Occurrences
  4. Number of RPA (Red Penalty Area) Occurrences
  5. Number of Holes-in-One
  6. Number of Albatrosses
  7. Number of Eagles
  8. Number of Birdies
  9. Number of Pars
  10. Number of Bogeys
  11. Number of Double Bogeys
  12. Number of Triple Bogeys
  13. Total count of scores for +4 or higher, hole by hole
  • Nomenclature: The above ranking system is designated as the “Complete Method.”
  • Tie-breaking: Rankings are determined based on the performance hierarchy listed above. Should a tie persist after applying all criteria, a “count-back” system will be applied from the final hole toward the starting hole. If the scores remain identical, the ranking will be decided via a playoff.
  • Playoff Application: The “Complete Method” shall also be applied to determine the winner during playoffs.
  • Repetition: In a playoff, the process will be repeated until a clear ranking is established.
  • Objective: By adopting this method, “Tied” positions are eliminated, making it possible to determine a definitive rank for every player.
